Dr. Lily M. Kuehne - Owner - Doctor of Chiropractic

On any given weekend, you will find Dr. Lily mountain biking in the backcountry of Tahoe, hiking with Mark Kuehne, her husband, and her two dogs, or shredding the slopes at Northstar. Otherwise, you will most likely find her in service of others, trying to promote wellness in her community: from mission trips to other countries, to providing expert testimony in court, to constant education in her field and complimentary fields.

Dr. Lily has been interested in a healing profession as long as she can remember. When she was in San Diego, she had intentions to obtain a nursing degree, but her active lifestyle steered her away. As an avid triathlete in the 1980s, she wanted to learn how to perfect performance in all aspects of life and came across chiropractic. The care and results she experienced at that time showed her a way of healing others that did not need drugs or invasive procedures.

Her strong belief in natural health care has brought Dr. Lily to focus her practice on the correction of the cause of ailments, rather than treating symptoms. She emphasizes all-around wellness care: knowing that when one takes care of their structure, energy channels, nutrition and stress, their natural immune system will be at its strongest and able to protect against most dis-ease.

Dr. Lily achieved a B.S. in Biological Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. She was certified by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 1991. This training, combined with over 25 years of experience in private practice, has enabled her to care for a wide range of patients, with a variety of issues. Sports, auto and work-related injuries are part of her expertise. Her extensive post-degree studies have led to continuing education in Chiropractic Biophysics, Drop Table and many specialized techniques including: Pediatric, Geriatric, Upper Cervical, Gonstead, Diversified, Activator and Extremity adjusting techniques. This diversification of her education has brought unparalleled results to her patients.

In 2000, Dr. Lily and Mark moved to beautiful Lake Tahoe to bring their extensive healing knowledge to an active and hardworking community they wanted to be a part of. With combined experience of over 30 years working in the healing arts, they both love to provide such service to a wonderful community and the ability to continue enjoying their active lifestyles.

Mark J. Kuehne L.Ac. - Owner Licensed Acupuncturist, Tai Chi Instructor

Lately you might see Mark in action on his new electric fat bike, cruising the trails of Kings Beach in style. With a profound love for the Taoist philosophy, Mark centers his life on balance in all areas. His dedication to providing healing to others is only matched by his love of playfulness. He spends many mornings out on the mountain, snowboarding or telemark skiing in the winter and downhill mountain biking in the warmer months.

Mark’s desire to heal the world began in high school when he completed his studies for EMT certification early. He couldn’t take the exam until he was 18, however, so as soon as he could, he passed the exam and headed to Colorado to provide emergency services in the outdoors. Combining the love of healing and the outdoors, he learned the new art of snowboarding with his brother and then brought it to Mammoth Mountain just two years later. Still helping people as an EMT, Mark opened the first snowboard shop in June Lake and was also one of the first snowboard instructors on Mammoth.

This serendipitously led him to meet his wife, Dr. Lily, on the slopes of Mammoth. Their passion for each other mirrored their passion for serving others. Moving back to San Diego, Mark quickly acquired his massage therapy license, with a specialty in sports massage, to begin his studies in bodywork. He then continued to practice while attending the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in order to obtain his degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Learning from Masters such as 30th generation acupuncturist Dr. Yitian Ni and fifth generation acupuncturist Dr. Richard Tei Fu Tan, Mark completed both curriculums of Acupuncturist and Herbalist. This training helped him pass the necessary licensing exams to become a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in 1995.

Mark established his private practice in Del Mar, where he continued to refine his skills in the healing arts. In 2000, Mark and Lily moved to Lake Tahoe to combine their practices for the good of the community, while living in an area that afforded them the ability to indulge their playfulness. They joined their talents together to offer complete wellness by purchasing and establishing the Lake Tahoe Wellness Center in 2001. Mark and Lily have also been pioneers in the athletic training program at Northstar Ski Area, utilizing their personal knowledge of these snow sports by treating work related injuries for both ski patrol and the ski school.

Meet Dr. Anastiscia Lang, Ph.D., CHNP, CHN, Traditional Naturopath

Welcome, I’m Dr. Lang, and I’m so glad you’re here. My passion for Naturopathy isn’t just professional—it’s deeply personal. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how the body has an incredible ability to heal when we give it the right tools, guidance, and support.

My journey into natural medicine began as a child, watching my mother battle cancer and autoimmune illnesses. We explored countless therapies and protocols, which planted the seeds for my lifelong interest in alternative medicine. But it wasn’t until I faced my own health crisis that I truly understood the transformative power of naturopathy.

For eight long years, I was misdiagnosed, struggling with unexplained symptoms that left me physically and emotionally drained. What I later discovered was that I had chronic Lyme disease, along with co-infections, mold and parasite illness, metal toxicity, and other complex health issues. At my lowest point, I felt like I had lost everything—my energy, my health, and even hope.

It was a Naturopathic Doctor who changed everything. They suspected Lyme disease when no one else had and guided me through a natural, integrative protocol. Herbal remedies, targeted detoxification, dietary changes, and lifestyle shifts became my lifelines.

Slowly but surely, I began to heal. This experience not only saved my life but gave me a renewed purpose: to help others navigate their own journeys toward wellness.

Today, I combine natural modalities, noninvasive analysis, and whole body wellness to help clients overcome their obstacles to optimal well-being. I believe true healing involves addressing the whole person —physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—because these elements are deeply interconnected.

I understand how frustrating and isolating chronic illness and pain can feel, but I also know that healing is possible. My mission is to bring you hope, encouragement, and the personalized guidance you need to regain your health and vitality.

When I’m not working with patients, I love exploring the beautiful outdoors of Lake Tahoe with my husband, diving into art and film, traveling, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in natural medicine.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your health journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Let’s uncover the root causes of your challenges and work together toward a healthier, happier, and more balanced life.

warmly,
Dr. Anastiscia Lang, Traditional Naturopath

Dr. Christian Boscardin

I’m Dr. Christian Boscardin, and I’m passionate about helping you achieve a balanced, healthy life through integrative care.

My journey in wellness began with a 1,000-hour massage therapy certification from the Mountain Heart School of Transformational Therapy in Crested Butte, Colorado. That foundational experience led me to the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing, where I earned a certificate in Acutonics®. This unique system blends East Asian Medicine, science, and cosmology through vibratory sound. Using percussion tuning forks calibrated to the frequencies of planetary bodies, Acutonics brings powerful healing tones into the clinical setting.

I deepened my studies at the Globe Institute in San Francisco, where I explored the therapeutic benefits of specific sound frequencies on the body. This immersion in vibrational medicine inspired me to pursue formal training in Traditional East Asian Medicine at Emperor’s College, where I earned a master’s degree and later completed my Doctorate (D.A.O.M.).

My doctoral capstone focused on the vagus nerve, specifically, how acupuncture can stimulate it to positively impact heart health. I explored how the vagus nerve helps regulate the balance between the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, drawing connections between this and the East Asian concept of yin and yang. I believe maintaining this balance is key to preventing “dis-ease.”

In clinical practice, I enjoy working with a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic issues, post-operative recovery, acute and chronic pain, sleep disturbances, headaches, anxiety, chronic stress, allergies, and autoimmune disorders. I also have a strong interest in Auricular acupuncture and the microsystem of the ear, having had great success treating a variety of conditions through ear-only clinics.
After seven years of study and thousands of hours of clinical training, I’m thrilled to return to the Kings Beach community and provide care at the Lake Tahoe Wellness Center. I’m especially grateful to Mark Kuhene, who encouraged me to pursue acupuncture with the hope of returning here. It’s an honor to serve the community that shaped me.

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my two sons, Noah and Xavier. I’ve practiced yoga for over 12 years and enjoy painting, photography, music production, and digital media. In the summer, you’ll often find me swimming in Lake Tahoe; in the winter, I enjoy snowboarding. I also have a deep appreciation for live music and try to catch performances whenever I can.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about treatments or your personal wellness goals. I’m happy to speak with you before or after your appointment.

Emily Radcliffe - Yoga Instructor

My journey to yoga was born out of necessity. A need for more depth, spaciousness, peace, community, and connection between my body and mind.

My path began about 15 years ago working in youth development and other community non-profits. I’ve always loved being of service to my community, and have found joy in working toward a brighter collective future. In 2020, I went to graduate school to get my Marriage and Family Therapy degree so that I could continue to serve, and walk with folks on their wellness journeys in a deeper and more intentional way. After completing my degree, I opened a practice based in Oregon and began doing talk therapy with individuals, couples and families. I love, and am passionate about, this work, but something still felt as though it was missing.

A year ago, my dog, Brody, of 13 years passed away suddenly from cancer. I was unprepared, devastated, and broken. I truly thought I might never recover. Brody grew up with me, and supported, loved, and rode with me through some of my most formative years. I felt unmoored and unable to move forward without him. Talk therapy was helpful, but again, I felt like something was missing.

I decided to travel, and went to Nicaragua and Mexico where I spent my days doing yoga, walking through the jungle, working with incredible healers and teachers, and learning about grief. I cried. A lot. As I looked out over the ocean, surrounded by the love of other beings and Mother Earth, I realized that yoga and spirituality were the missing links in my wellness offerings. Over the years, I had let my spirit dull. One of the healers that I worked with in Nicaragua said, “you need to do a yoga teacher training. It will change your life”. It did.

Now, having completed my 200 hour YTT with Soulpeneure RYS here in Lake Tahoe, my life has transformed. The journey wasn’t easy. After the first week of training, I tore my ACL and reached out to my teachers in despair. Would I be able to complete this training? My teachers and mentors ensured that I was able to, by providing incredible support, guidance, and compassion. They saw my passion and they nurtured it, despite my physical limitations. Again, the universe was throwing me a curve ball and I had to adjust. Going into my YTT I thought I would teach power yoga. I envisioned loud music, big beats, sweat pouring down my face. Ah, but the universe knew that’s not what my soul needed. My soul needed peace. It needed healing. I needed to lean into the subtle body work.

I love yoga in hot sweaty studios with loud beats and fantastically contorted body shapes. But, my yoga is also stillness. It is opening the heart. It is moving the body into not only fantastic shapes, but also gentle ones. It’s meditation. Breath work. Learning to be comfortable in silence. Learning to control the mind. My yoga is discipline. My yoga is connection – with self and with community. My yoga is love. My yoga is accessible to everyone.

I provide a space of peace and wellness for you to move your body, go inward, get in touch with your breath, sit in stillness, be silly, be gentle, explore, and challenge your physical, mental and emotional limits. I guide my students through a loving asana practice, and I also incorporate breath work, meditation, food for thought, and lots of modifications and options for all bodies.

I look forward to welcoming you, and being in community with you! Namaste.
